Meghan Cardwell-Wilson

Meghan Cardwell-Wilson enjoys moving and writing. She is a professor and discipline lead in the Collin College Dance Department, and she spent ten years with Muscle Memory Dance Theatre (M2DT) as a performer, choreographer, and company manager. It was with M2DT that she created and produced Made in a Day, an event that took choreographers and dancers from casting to curtain in less than 24 hours. Meghan has performed at venues across Texas and in Florida, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Washington, D.C., and she has attended intensives at Bates Dance Festival and the American Dance Festival. Her choreography has been presented at the American College Dance Association Regional Conference, Barefoot Brigade, Brazos Dance Festival, The Exchange, Oklahoma Contemporary Dance Festival, Out of the Loop Festival, and with the Ghost Town Arts Collective at the Las Cruces Museum of Art. Meghan graduated magna cum laude from Austin College with a double major in English and Philosophy. She then earned an M.F.A. in Dance from Texas Woman's University, graduating with the Dance Department's award for excellence in research and writing.

“I built a life in dance because I could think of nothing more thrilling. With time my focus has shifted from performing to teaching and creating opportunities for others to engage with dance. Working with Full Circle Dance is a welcome return to the process of dancing and creating.” - Meghan
