I love to teach yoga. Yoga is a technology of aligning body, mind and heart. It never fails to bring us home and remind us of our profound connection with all of life. It is movement as prayer.
I value a practice rooted in physical alignment because it creates integrity and balance within and without. My classes provide a safe space to be yourself, flow, and embody a process that is both playful and precise.
I received my first teaching certification from OM Yoga Center in 2009. I completed a Relax & Renew Restorative Yoga training with Judith Lasater, and graduated from an Advanced Anatomy Program at the Breathing Project in 2010. Since then, I have taught yoga in a variety of settings: at elite fitness clubs such as Equinox, at Dance New Amsterdam, and for Jewish organizations such as Romemu, Park Avenue Synagogue, Congregation Beit Simchat Torah, the Leichtag Foundation, and the JCC Manhattan. I have taught at some of New York’s most beloved studios, such as Virayoga, Kula Yoga, and especially OM Yoga (my yoga home for years) where I had the privilege of studying with Margi Young, Christie Clark, Cyndi Lee, Joe Miller, Frank Mauro, Sarah Trelease, and Brian Liem. Iyengar Yoga teachers Carrie Owerko & Nikki Costello have also been important influences. My private clients include doctors, nurses, CEOs, working moms, artists, and total beginners.
